We're running out of Democrats

I know, I know, you're not supposed to enjoy someone else's distress. But, hey, I'm loving it!

Link: Another tax cheat goes down in flames.

BHO latest tax cheat nominee drops out of contention for a job at the White House. Wow, it's not as easy as running the executive branch as it looks when you were on the sidelines slandering President Bush and his administration, is it Barry?

Between tax cheats and nominees under indictment, it might take a while to fill the empty seats on the Hope and Change Train.

Two weeks into his presidency and BHO's momentum is already in danger of stalling.

If the GOP has any brains, this will crucify this tax and spend bill as it hits the Senate floor -- along with the bunch crooks this administration is putting before the Senate.

Please don't sign the Congressional suicide pact!

Here is an email I sent to Sen. Mary Landrieu this morning.

Sen. Landrieu:

I am writing today to you as a very concerned Louisiana constituent and taxpayer who is pleading that you vote against the so-called "stimulus" bill making its way through Congress.
Time again both domestically and internationally such reckless deficit spending has proven ineffective as a means of initiating economic recovery. In fact, debt spending of this magnitude can delay recovery and deepen economic malaise, as we saw in the U.S. in the 1930s and in Japan during the 1990s.

The bill is also laden with pork spending for morally repugnant causes such as abortion, an issue that your constituents -- many Southern Baptists and Roman Catholics such as myself -- recoil from as the murder of a child in the womb. Please, do not contribute our tax money to Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion profiteers.

Please Sen. Landrieu, please consider taking a bold and courageous stand against the dangerous direction your irresponisble and misguided party leadership is traveling down and consider voting on the side of responsibility and fiscal sanity.

Please do not burden future generations -- our children and their children -- with hyper inflation, economic destruction and crushing debt that this bill will bring about on the already strained American taxpayer.

Thank you, Jim Ponder, Jr.

Voices in the wilderness who need our support

Fortunately, not every soul working in Washington, D.C. today has been stricken with the dangerous strain of Hussein fever (a virulent infection that causes the victim to hallucinate that Hussein Obama is qualified to be president).

Louisiana's own Sen. David Vitter, for example, has stood against the multi-generational theft scheme currently being railroaded through Congress by the Democrat Party grift machine.

Another Senator who has impressed me over the years is Sen. James Inhofe of Oklahoma. He has stood firmly against money grubbing flim flam artists such as climate change huckster Al Gore and, most recently, tax cheat Timothy Geithner -- a man who will wield the blunt force of the IRS against us as he confiscates trillions of dollars from honest people, while he himself who refused to pay his own taxes.

Vitter, Inhofe and the minority of conservative Republicans are working right now behind enemy lines in Washington D.C., a city currently being ransacked by a mob of Democrats that resembles a band of Somali pirates more than elected officials. This drunken band of tax-happy leftists is getting ready to knock over the U.S. Treasury like Bonnie and Clyde robbing a small town bank.

These lonely conservatives need and deserve support from those of us appalled at the contempt the Democrat Party shows for our values, our opinions and our liberties.

But, until we regain a majority, learn to like it, Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Taxpayer. If you complain, be ready to be labeled as greedy, mean, selfish, racist, homophobic, sexist and hateful. Hussein won and you lost. Now shut up and pay up!

Democrats and tyranny

If I had to name one of the most important among the many reasons I despise the Democrat Party as it exists today, it would be its approach to governing.

While Conservatives such as myself see rights as divinely granted and government subordinate to these rights, Democrats sees rights we are granted as a function of government, mostly because I suppose the party has turned its back on God.

Example: Nancy Pelosi cannot be bothered with the inconveniences intrinsic to the representative form of government. Rather, as a good Marxist -- she crams whatever confiscation of liberty and wealth possible into a package of garbage legislation before anyone even has a chance to read the bill. Like any tyrant, however, she does all of this in the name, of course, of the children, the unemployed, whatever:

So, while we and our children who toil for a living will be soaked with confiscatory taxes to finance the Democrat pork "stimulus" sham, Comrade Nancy will continue to enjoy the perks of her Politburo position, including a taxpayer-financed jumbo jet to shuttle her about the country.
